Mona grew up in Bavaria, Germany, and over the years life has taken her to different parts of the world, including living in the United States and the Netherlands. Before finding her path as a yoga teacher, she served twelve years in the military. It was there that she first discovered yoga, a practice that eventually changed her life.
She is also a proud single mom and dog mom to Bea, her rescue dog. When she is not teaching, you will usually find her traveling, exploring nature, hiking, or cooking delicious vegan meals. She loves discovering new places, meeting people from different cultures, and finding beauty in the simple things.
Her practice is rooted in the Dharma Yoga lineage of Sri Dharma Mittra and deeply inspired by the mindfulness teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. To her, yoga is not just about becoming stronger or more flexible. It is about learning to live with more awareness, kindness, and compassion, both on and off the mat.
Being vegan is an important part of her life, and she enjoys sharing that passion through yoga, bodywork, and vegan nutrition consultations. She believes movement, nourishment, and rest all work together to support our overall well-being.
Whether you join her for a yoga class, a bodywork session, or a nutrition consultation, her hope is that you leave feeling a little lighter, more grounded, and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
Dharma Yoga is a heart-opening practice rooted in the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra. It brings together classical Hatha Raja Yoga, asana, pranayama, meditation and yogic philosophy. The practice can be physically strong, but ultimately it is about much more than the physical body. It is an invitation to develop awareness, compassion and a deeper connection to yourself. Mona's teaching is rooted in the Dharma Yoga tradition and includes:
Dharma Gentle
Dharma I - IV
Dharma Wheel
Yoga Nidra
Pranayama & Meditation
Charging Practice I, II & III
Psychic Development
Deep Relaxation & Gong
Myofascial Release (MFR) with therapy balls
From gentle and restorative practices to breathwork, meditation, energetic practices and strong asana, there are many ways to explore the teachings and experience yoga beyond the physical practice.
A Dharma Wheel class brings the traditional Dharma Yoga practice together with the Yoga Wheel as a supportive tool. The wheel helps create space in the body, explore deeper backbends, improve mobility and approach familiar postures from a different perspective. It can also support balance, strength and alignment while making more challenging poses feel accessible and playful.
The class is not about achieving the deepest expression of a pose. It is about exploring, creating space and discovering new possibilities within your own practice.
Meridian Bodywork is inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and works with the body’s energetic pathways, known as meridians. Through targeted pressure, stretches and hands-on techniques, the practice aims to encourage movement and balance within the body, release areas of tension and support a sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
Cupping is a traditional bodywork technique that uses cups to create gentle suction on the skin. It is commonly used on areas of muscular tension and can help increase local circulation and encourage relaxation of tight tissues. Depending on the technique, the cups may remain in one place or be moved across the skin. Temporary circular marks can occur and usually fade naturally.
Plant-based nutrition is about meeting your nutritional needs entirely through plant-based foods. My approach focuses on practical, balanced and evidence-based nutrition rather than restriction or perfection. We look at how to build nourishing meals, understand important nutrients and create eating habits that work realistically in everyday life while staying aligned with a plant-based lifestyle.
